Main facts:

  • Immersion in a spanish family.
  • Young Students aged between 10 y 17 years old.
  • Minimum 1 week. Maximum 4 weeks.

  • Destino:

    The immersion program will take place mainly in Yecla. Its location is ideal as it is very closed to the 4 main cities in the South East of Spain. Murcia, Alicante, Valencia and Albacete. Only about 1 hour from each other.

    Students will be able to discover the Levante Coast but also the inland mountainous areas.

    Yecla has also been known thanks to their business imput in the regional economy. Well-known because of the numerous furniture companies (more than 200 at the moment) and wineries.

    We could confirm that our wine could easily compete the the Rioja ones.

    How to get to Yecla: Thanks to low cost airlines you can easily get to the South East of Spain. There are 3 main airports where you could fly to.

    • The airport in Alicante is currently the sixth largest airport in Spain. Growing in size continuously over the past years, in March 2011 the airport got a brand new terminal building replacing the old two terminals. It is placed in Elche and only 15 minutes away from Alicante city center. Where you can get a bus from the bus station direct to the airport and the other way  around.
    • Valencia aiport. This airport is situated in the west part of Valencia and only an hour and 15 minutes from Yecla.
    • Murcia internacional: This airport is situated just 15 minutes away from Murcia city, and 1 hour from Yecla.
    • You could also fly to Madrid Barajas Airport or any other airport and get a train to Villena Train Station. It will take you only 20 minutes to get to Yecla by car.

    Aim of the immersion program

    The main aim of the immersion program is the total language immersion for the student.

    This program is ideal for individuals with a reasonable good level of spanish, (between A2+ and B1) Easy going and talkative. What we call openminded.

    From our experience in this kind of program, the students who really have a good time are those who are willing to enjoy the local way of life.

    They will discover new way of living, new food, new habits etc.. A great deal of different experiences that will enrich him or her.

    Plus discovering how spanish family live.
  • Alojamiento:

    The immesion program is focused in the language immersion, so students will be placed in spanish families, where the language spoken is spanish.

    We know all our families quite well as we run a language school in Yecla,  and we place the foreing students in our students' families. We have different kind of families but they all have in common an aim, "Make sure our student feel at home".

    The immersion program give the student the extraordinary opportunity to enjoy the Spanish way of living. Culture, food, life style.

    We would like our students not only to learn the language but to live an unforgettable experience.
  • Clases:

    There is no spanish classes involved. 

    The program for young students is run from mid June to end of august. In July and august, the spanish students are on holidays and willing to enjoy the company of the foreing teen.

    The minimum stay is 1 week and the maximun stay is 4 weeks. The students should always arrive at the week end.

  • Programa social:

    There is not an specific social program but we could organise it if we got a group arriving at the same time.
    In general the student will have to adapt to the daily routine of the families.

    Example Social program for groups:

    • Guided Walking tour around Yecla.
    • Visit to churches in Yecla (Basilica, el Niño, Iglesia vieja, hospitalico)
    • Guided tour to the Archeological Museum, including Adriano´s Bust.
    • Swimming in outdoo or indoors swimming pool.
    • Flamenco dancing session.
    • Spanish guitar playing.
    • Visit to the Santuary up in the hill.
    • Trekking in the nearby área, for about 2 hours.
    • Gym training session.
    • Dinner out for the whole group in bar in Yecla.
    • Visit to Monte Arabí and the prehistoric rock paintings.
    • Visit to a wine cellar to learn about the process used to obtain the wine.
    • Visit to an ecological olive oil mill.
    • Exhibition of regional dancing.
    • Visit to Murcia city Centre.
    • Visit to Alicante Beach.
    • Learning how to cook paella.
    • Visit to a bull farm.
    • Visit to a sofa company, to learn the manufacturing process.
