The main goal of this program is for young people to speak as much Spanish as possible while enjoying a great adventure. Our immersion program takes place in the charming town of Yecla, perfectly located just an hour away from Murcia, Alicante and Albacete. This means you’ll have easy access to both the stunning Levante Coast and beautiful inland mountains.

In Yecla, you’ll discover a town famous for its vibrant furniture industry and exceptional wineries. With over 200 furniture companies, Yecla is often called the "City of Furniture." And trust us, our local wines are on par with the best from Rioja!

Nature lovers will enjoy the surrounding Sierra de Salinas and Sierra de la Magdalena, perfect for hiking and outdoor adventures. History buffs can explore the Basilica of La Purísima and the Castle of Yecla, while culture enthusiasts will love our traditional festivals like ``San Isidro´´.

How to Get to Yecla:

Thanks to low-cost airlines, reaching the Southeast of Spain is easier than ever. There are three main airports you can fly into:

Alicante Airport: As the sixth largest airport in Spain, Alicante Airport has grown significantly over the years. In March 2011, a new terminal building was inaugurated, replacing the old terminals. Located in Elche, it’s just 15 minutes from Alicante city center. You can easily catch a bus from the city’s bus station directly to the airport.

Valencia Airport: Situated on the west side of Valencia, this airport is only an hour and 15 minutes from Yecla, making it a convenient option for your journey.

Murcia International Airport: Located just 15 minutes from Murcia city, this airport is about an hour’s drive from Yecla.

Alternatively, you can fly into Madrid Barajas Airport or any other major airport and take a train to Villena Train Station. From there, it’s just a 20-minute car ride to Yecla.
El Colegio:
Get ready for the ultimate language immersion experience! Our program is designed for young adventurous with a good level of Spanish (A2+ to B1). If you're easy-going, talkative, and open-minded, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The areas and skills focused at school are primarily speaking. Students will work on these through games and activities:
- This program offers 15 hours of Spanish classes.
- Classes are focused on improving students' oral proficiency.
- You will learn new vocabulary and typical expresssions from the area.
- Pronunciation will be improved.
- Activities include interactive social games such as ``the roving reporter´´, "Treasure hunt"
Alojamiento:

All students stay with host families.

Students have full board including breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout their stay. When there are evening activities, students have a snack at school and then have dinner at home upon return.

Students are accommodated in shared rooms with the host family. Typically, there are two or three students per host family.

Host families are supervised by our school's accommodation department to ensure we provide suitable housing for all our students. Homestay accommodation is comfortable and welcoming, usually in quiet neighbourhoods, which provides security and the experience of living immersed in daily life.
Clases:
Our classes are held in the morning and in the afternoon, they will participate in activities.

Teachers place special emphasis on oral language and consolidating language use in everyday situations.

Whether exploring historical sites, engaging in cultural workshops, or enjoying outdoor adventures, there's something for everyone to enjoy while advancing their language skills in Yecla.

- Trekking in the nearby area, approximately 2 hours.
- Group tapas dinner at a bar in Yecla.
- Visit to Monte Arabí and the prehistoric rock paintings.
